What You Need To Know

From Friday, August 22, through Sunday, August 24, UTA will perform scheduled maintenance on the TRAX Red and Blue Line rail crossing on 5900 South. A bus bridge will be in effect between Murray Central and Fashion Place West stations on both the Red and Blue Lines.


  • Plan for delays of up to 30 minutes, depending on your starting and ending stations.
  • To avoid delays, riders are encouraged to begin their trip after the affected area, if possible.

Regular TRAX service will resume on Monday, August 25.

What To Expect


  • 24-hour construction activity will occur throughout the weekend.
  • Nearby residents and businesses may notice nighttime noise, lighting, dust, and vibration.
  • The rail crossing at 5900 South will be closed:
    • 300 West will remain open for north–south traffic.
    • Eastbound traffic will be detoured to 6100 South.

Why This Is Happening

This maintenance is part of UTA’s ongoing efforts to keep the Red and Blue Lines in good condition, reduce future disruptions, and improve long-term service quality.
